Overview

Mel Ville is a three storied building operated on the base principle of a serviced apartment, while retaining the charm of a home stay concept. As far as location is concerned, Mel Ville is prime, albeit tucked in a quiet residential neighbourhood in the heart of old Pondicherry. The interiors maintain a luxurious ambience as also a quiet homely atmosphere. The locality is perpetually noise and traffic free and affords ample parking and playing spaces. My family and I personally occupy the second floor, making us “on site” resident hosts, hence we remain on call at all hours (godly and ungodly) Dwellings installed with equipped kitchens and all creature comforts make for family and children friendly apartments. Friends, colleagues and corporates looking to unwind away from home may find Mel Ville most ideal. The occasional breakfast or lunch order may be catered to from our home kitchen, provided they are planned affairs. Mehak and I have been residents of Pondicherry for over two decades. While the internet does provide instant information that a traveller on the go requires, we could add a tidbit or two where tiny details matter. Being familiar with the native lingo helps us get our guests better bargains.Mel Ville is located adjacent to Hotel Athiti ( a prominent landmark and hotel ) in the heart of Old Pondicherry. The rocky beach front, the Aurobindo Ashram, Nehru Street ( the shopping hub ) the French Quarter, and a plethora of eateries abound - all within a kilo meter's radius of Mel Ville.Auroville is around 6 kilometres to the North, while Paradise Beach is 6 to the South. Distances are practically absent in small town Pondicherry. It is possible to hire scooters and bikes which would be ideal to zip around 'hop skip & jump' ~ Pondy. The next best option would be to hire cabs with three wheels. App based cab services are yet to launch operations in Pondicherry.

PEARL - Pearl is a fully furnished, tastefully decorated and well ventilated large THREE bedroom apartment ( 1650 sq. ft. ) with toilets en suite.

QUARTZ - PENTHOUSE SUITEThe Penthouse Suite is a haven to put up at & is ideal for a couple with or without kids.This apartment is located on the third floor and can be accessed by elevator.The Studio ideally accommodates two occupants but can most comfortably sleep four should it become necessary. It’s a relatively large apartment, space is not a constraint.Proper mattresses shall be provided for the extra occupants.The interior is a fully furnished single dwelling as spacious as 550 sq. ft can be.An exclusive terrace & sun deck affords another 500 sq. ft of open space.The interiors and wash rooms are done up to cater to European tastes. Expect to be thrilled by the natural ventilation and light that this apartment affords.The amenities include two air conditioners, a large screen Led TV with a DTH feed,one toilet, one toilet cum bath and a equipped & functional kitchenette.
