This glacial Kareri lake trek will take you through a journey of the most scenic views. Trek through the lush green forest filled with chir and chilgoza pines as you continue your trek.

The trek starts with your arrival at Dharamkot in Mcleodganj, from where you take a small trek to reach the Kareri Village. After spending a night here, you will then begin the trek to go up to the Kareri Lake, lying at the foot of the Minkiani Pass. You will be facing a huge variety of terrains on this trek, ranging from straight roads to river crossings over wooden bridges, and steep ascents.

After arriving at the lake, spend some time clicking pictures there, before spending another amazing night in tents at the lakeside. On the last day of the trek to Kareri Lake, you will be trekking back to the Kareri Village, where the trek experience will come to an end.

From here or from Ghera, you can hire a taxi to take you back to Mcleodganj.
