Alibaug is a town in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. The Alibaug beach is the main beach in the town which is quite a popular beach for planning beach holidays in Maharashtra. The Kanakeshwar Mandir which is about 17km away from Alibaug is a well known Shiv temple forming an important sightseeing place of this tour. This temple is made up of many other small temples dedicated to many deities and it also has a special tank with sweet water in it which forms a special appeal of the place. If one has a little more time to spend then a visit to the Kashid beach near Alibaug is a must. The beach is covered with white sand and is the cleanest beach one has ever seen.
