The Sanskrit word-Hṛṣīkeśa translates to 'lord of the senses', another name for Lord Vishnu. Ancient folklore claims that Lord Vishnu vanquished the demon Madhu in this holy city.According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama is said to have been sentenced to perform penance at Rishikesh for killing Ravana. Laxman is believed to have crossed the river during this time by means of a jute rope, that was later renamed as the Laxman Jhula Bridge. Another story recounts that Lord Rama's younger brother- Bharat carried out penance here. A temple by the same Bharat stands here symbolic of the event.

Ganga Royal Suite - I went to stay in this hotel during our rishikesh trip it was really very awesome to stay there.. As according to modern era there were all the luxurious facilities.. and according to privileged place near sacred river ganga this hotel also capture the history through its beautifully architect paintings... the experience to be there is one of awesome and memorable moment for us... that awestruck ganga view from room to all the chilling out facilities.

Premier Room - We stayed on 11th Jun in elbee gangaview...nice location and excellent staff. Visited rishikesh after 10 years and never imagined such a wonderful hotel in this place. Kudos to the entire staff from security guards to reception staff, hotel manager and room service staff- all very exceptionally courteous and helpful.

Deluxe Room - Stay at rishikesh was very comfirtable. The interioirs are very ineteresting and pleasing.The rooms are spacious and beautifull. Hospitality has to be appreciated. They provide very good facilities. The restraunt and food is just amazing.It was a stay worth.

Executive Suite - Nice and clean rooms. Beautful view of maa Ganga River from roof top "Sitting Elephant" restaruant. Good service. Good location Very close from Triveni Ghat.
