Day 1: Arrival Madurai
Today on arrival in Madurai, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel, day free at leisure. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 2: Madurai
Morning after breakfast leave for sightseeing Madurai Temple and cover Mariamman Teppakulam temple, Meenakshi Temple and the Palace of Tirumalai Nayak. In the evening attend the prayer ceremony at the Meenakshi temple. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 3: Madurai - Periyar (140 km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Periyar,on reaching Periyar, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon enjoy the exciting boat cruise on the Periyar Lake.
Day 4: Periyar-Kumarakom (160 km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. On arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Day 5: Kumarakom
Morning after breakfast Backwaters Tour, visit the Kumarakom bird Sanctuary.
Day 6: Kumarakom-Alleppey
Today morning after breakfast drive to Alleppey, board the traditionally decorated houseboat, Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 7: Alleppey-Cochin (80 km / 2 hrs)
After breakfast checkout of the houseboat after morning arrival at Alleppey. In the morning head for Cochin by surface. Evening free at leisure, Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8: Cochin
After taking breakfast, go on covering the tourist attractions of Cochin. You will visit Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church as well as the Jewish Synagogue. In the evening enjoy a Kathakali Dance performance in the theatre. Overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 9: Cochin Departure
After breakfast check out from hotel, in time transfer to the airport for onward journey.
